Judy Campanaro

Judith Campanaro was born and raised in California. At an early age, she recognized art as her life path. From 1976-1989, Judith owned and operated the Hobbit School of Art in Ventura, California, where she taught both children and adults. Drawn by the gentle pace of life in the Southwest, Judith moved to Arizona in 1989 and currently resides in Reno. She has a BA in Psychology, an MA in Professional Counseling and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Art Therapy. She currently teaches art for VSA Arts of Nevada and is Special Projects Manager for Wildflower Village. As well as teaching, Judith has had many solo shows both in the United States and the Caribbean and her paintings are included in numerous public and private collections.

Her many years as a teacher has provided Judith with experience in diverse mediums. As a result, Judith’s work is a joyful voice in multi-media art. Her paintings exhibit vibrant, strong color, shapes and forms.

In the Artist’s words:

My mission statement is to facilitate empowerment through creative expression. I am a firm believer that whether creating, teaching or viewing, art in any form feeds the soul and empowers the psyche. I am influenced by the symphony of Kandinsky’s work, the softness of Monet and the teachings of Carl Jung. My goal is to capture universal truth in my work and thus provide a path for the viewer to his/her own internal rhythms and peaceful center.
