Jacqui Isensee was born in Van Nuys, California, and grew up in Las Vegas Nevada where she met and married her husband, Skip. They had four children who grew up at Lake Tahoe. While taking art classes to enhance her ceramics she fell in love with painting and promptly traded her kiln and glazes in for canvas and paints. Now Jacqui paints impression and abstract paintings in oils.

Jacqui and her husband live in Reno. Jacqui works at the Open Door Gallery, at Wildflower Village where she also has an art studio.
