Kazue Kurebayashi is a professional Hawaii based photographer with over 30 years of experience. A native of Japan she resided in Hawaii from 1976 to 2005.
In 2005 Kazue moved to Reno, Nevada to be closer to her daughter and the family. She has enjoyed experiencing four seasons and beautiful nature photography in Nevada. She had a Commercial, Portrait, Wedding studio in Honolulu and photographed many notable celebrities and political leaders in Hawaii. She has produced advertising and commercial photography for international corporations, traveling to many countries at their request. Her major photography assignment was Japan Airlineʼs golf course and hotel development and event projects for Marriott Hotel.
Kazue is a former member of the Professional Photographers of America, The Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain, and the Professional Photographer of Hawaii. Her original composition “Samurai Artist” graced the cover of the Professional Photographerʼs of America Magazine in 1983. In 1997 Kazueʼs photographs were published in the wonderful table book entitled “Musical Images of Hawaii”. Inspired by this joint venture, Kazue produced three Mele Hula CDs and DVD titled “The Spirits of Mele Hula”. She went on to produce a Mele Hula Concert in Japan for 5th tour. The tour included seven major cities with performance by well known Hawaiian Musicians and dancers; the April 1, 2009 performance held at the Tokyo International Forum was sold out and greatly received. Currently, Her work has also been displayed in the Nevada Museum of Art Café and Museum Store.
