The word " Artist" is one who is able, by virtue of imagination, creativity and talent, to create works of aesthetic value.  This is often a person who is outside the mainstream in terms of outlook and goals. I believe art is to be intimately enjoyed, real art should be touched and handled.

All of my life I have been creating with my hands.  As a child I was fascinated with how things were put together.  I would dismantle everything I could get my hands on to see if I could reassemble it in a different way.  This fascination took on new meaning when I discovered the joy and sometimes frustration with working in metal.  My father, a master cabinetmaker and welder, taught me to weld and to see the art in the raw materials.  I have been working with metal for over 30 years.

Metal art is a physically demanding and time-consuming effort.  Above all it takes creative ability to look at a pile of scrap metal and see a chair, a bed, a table or some kind of whimsical creation.

I specialize in the creation of distinctive hand-made metal furnishings and whimsical art born from discarded and recycled materials.  Each creation is beautifully crafted and its sculptural design makes it a work of art.  Pieces range from the purely artistic to the functional decorative and architectural, with a flair for whimsical works.  I pride myself on originality of design.
