| The act of creating Art can elicit a sense of elation, and provide fulfillment to people of all ages. For some, creating art can also be a healing experience. Through art we resolve issues, learn to adapt, problem solve and communicate with others. The Healing Power of Art is the essence of Art Therapy, and as artists and educators we are going to explore the theory and relevance of this field. You will gain an awareness of the healing attributes of art for both yourself and your students. Additionally, this conference is an opportunity for you to create art with your fellow colleagues in a retreat like setting from professional artists.
